ByWater for Newark

As many of you are aware, Newark, New Jersey, is experiencing a water crisis due to lead in the water pipes leaching into the water supply of residents.  The state is providing only 4 cases of 16 oz bottles every 2 weeks, and residents must pick up the water.  The governor has not declared a state of emergency, which would allow the National Guard to distribute water to residents.  Paradise Baptist Church in Newark is accepting water donations and is distributing the water to the residents.

The BNA is soliciting donations to buy water for the residents of Newark (ByWater for Newark).  We will purchase water at Sam’s Club in Metairie to be picked up by the church at the Sam’s Club in Newark.  We have set up a Paypal account should you wish to donate on-line.  Or you can send a check made out to the BNA to our P.O. Box 3191, New Orleans, Louisiana  70117.  Put ByWater for Newark on the memo line.  The BNA is a 501(c)3 organization, so your contributions are tax-deductible.
